History
In 1981, a completely different kind of jewelry store came to Iowa.
One where old-fashioned service was as important as the quality of the products sold. Where customers were educated, instead of pressured.
An Iowa jewelry store that didn't believe in having sales where prices changed from one day to the next – but one where customers could count on getting the best price every day. A business built on integrity, guaranteed quality, and a passion for fine jewelry.
More than three decades later, that store – Americus Diamond – has grown to become one of Iowa's largest independently owned jewelry stores.
As Americus Diamond's reputation and business have grown, so has our sales team. Some of our team have been a part of the Americus family for thirty years or more. We have attracted and retained the most knowledgeable and experienced employees in the business, who share our unique customer-focused philosophy.
We now carry an array of cutting-edge designs, and pieces from other manufacturers. Every manufacturer we use must adhere to our stringent quality standards. Our buyers independently quality inspect every item before it is placed in our showroom.

Most insurance policies only cover $500 so it is very important to itemize and add coverage for your valuable jewelry items. Your agent can advise you on the amount of insurance needed for adequate coverage.
